You will be awarded a proper salary in accordance with the number of forms proceeded correctly every day while you will also be fined for making mistakes. Your salary will provide you with shelter, food, and heat for your in-game family.

Papers Please deals with all the issues of immigration policy in an ever-changing environment. As an immigration officer in some cases, you also have to make moral decisions such as approving the entry of a pleading citizen despite the lack of proper paperwork knowing that this will affect their salary. The game features story mode and endless mode. The story mode features several events that will occur across the fictional country of Arstotzka, while the endless mode will allow you to process as many immigrants as possible.
